COMUNE DI CASALBELTRAME (NO)

In posizione tranquilla, arretrata rispetto alla strada principale, la parrocchiale dedicata a Santa Maria Assunta fu costruita alla fine del XVII secolo su un edificio più antico.
L'interno è a una navata, sulla quale si aprono, su entrambi i lati, tre cappelle; la volta è a botte con costoloni. In una delle cappelle di sinistra è situato, sopra l'altare marmoreo, un gruppo statuario del XV secolo, che rappresenta la Deposizione dalla Croce.
Da segnalare, inoltre, la cappella dedicata a San Novello Martire all'interno della quale sono custodite, in un'urna, le reliquie del Santo donate da una famiglia milanese nel XVI secolo; la cappella è pregevolmente affrescata.
Di un certo interesse è anche l'affresco quattrocentesco, situato sul lato sinistro rispetto all'ingresso, dedicato alla Madonna con Bambino.
Il campanile ha forma di torre quadrata con decorazioni in cotto ed è collocato nel lato sud adiacente alla zona absidale.

In a peaceful position, away from the main road, the parish of st Maria Assunta was built at the end of the 19th century on an older building.
The interior consists of a nave with three chapels opening on both sides; it has a barrel vault with ribbing.
In one of the chapels on the left, above the marble altar, is a group of statues from the 16th century representing the Deposition of the Cross.
Also worthy of notice is the chapel dedicated to Santo Novello Martire which are kept, inside an urn, the relics of the Saint donated by a Mialnese family in the 16th century.
A 15th century fresco dedicated to the Virgin with child can be seen on the left side of the main entrance. The bell tower, located on the southern side and next to the apse, is a square tower with terracotta decorations.
